{March 5, 2010}   Get Energize Spring is in the air

Spring is a great time to cleanse the body. Winter is a wonderful lazy time. I spend most of it catching up on my favourite TV shows, getting crafty, and stretching out on the furniture writing papers. A good mix of tasty ingredients can rejuvenate the body. To get into the spirit of spring, Gina and I have been indulging in smoothies with a base of blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries.

They are loaded with fibre, Vitamin C, and antioxidants. More then any other vegetable or fruit, blueberries have the most antioxidants with special ninja skills for fighting diseases.

Our Berry Smoothie Style for two

Place in blender

2 bananas

Fill up with frozen berry mix

Add fresh mix of berries

Add water ( amount depends on how thick you like it)

*If you choose to use only fresh berries, add some ice to get texture.
