{October 8, 2010}   Frankenstein is Alive!

Frankenstein from 1931 is a dark yet humorous version of Mary Shelley’s novel. I watched it tonight for the first time. It has all the classic lines and great use of lighting and shadows. Just like any older movie the backdrops are obvious and the acting is a bit on the dramatic side. My favourite character is Baron Frankenstein, he is the prefect funny grumpy old man, remind anyone of Statler and Waldorf from the Muppets? I really enjoyed the movie and recommend it to anyone. While Googling Frankenstein I came across a website dedicated to the classic monster movies. There I learned about National Frankenstein Day on October 29th and Frankenstein Friday which occurs on the last Friday of October.
